* This session is now full. Thank you!
In this spring mini session of classes we're combining art and science, and plants and animals. We'll discuss what natural history illustrations are and how they are used, the history of cyanotypes and how they relate to our theme, and we'll look at contemporary artists who are combining these things together. We will have multiple hands-on activities and projects that may include observational drawings, cyanotype prints, scavenger hunts through the garden, animal bone exploration, and more.
These classes are geared towards children ages 6-12 years old, and is a drop off class. If this is your first Earth Art class at the OGG location with us, please arrive 5 minutes early to fill out some forms. Please note that because we typically have a lot of info. to pack in, classes start promptly at 2:00, and may go a little over the hour. Students may stay after class for some social/play time while the instructor is cleaning up, but parents and guardians must be present during that time to watch over their children after class ends.
Cost: $48/child ($44 for attending siblings). Please register on our website reserve a spot for your child; advance registration is required. We will update here once the class is full.
Our Earth Art classes take place outside (under cover in the event of rain). Please dress your child for the weather.
